The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Ex twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As both boxers participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
